I love the ambience of all the historical artifacts and Art.The food and especially the steaks are top-quality. If you are fortunate to meet the owner Mr. Fogerty he is a treasure trove of Texas history. I am a huge fan of Sam Houston who was the heart and soul of the state of Texas in its infancy and the trials and tribulations of the time before the Civil War. I highly recommend eating here as well as possibly doing a tour when you have time to see and take in all the art.
We loved our dinner here on Saturday. The menu has a huge variety of great options. The salads were some of the best we have had at steak houses. The fillets and prime rib were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, any my son’s birthday dessert was very special.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and had great service and the food was wonderful. We had reservations for 6:00pm and were taken to our table promptly.
Steve’s steak was undercooked and dry. My fish was overly salty. Very disappointing!

Great place. Excellent food. Incredible atmosphere
Looking at The Texas history stuff on the walls was interesting. But the food was not that great my macaroni and cheese with crabmeat had shells in it so I had to send it back. And the steak was not that great and you pay $50 and it does not even come with any sides. My go to steak place for food, customer service, and atmosphere is still Bob’s chophouse in the Woodlands. I’ve been going to Bob’s for over two years at least once a month and I’ve never been disappointed
Delicious food and delightful staff! All round beautiful facility.
