It had very good cut of meats. I liked concept. However, my stone was not hot enough to cook my steak. It was crowded at the booth for four people eating steak. The steak was really good once cooked. However, sides need help! The mashed potatoes were dry and cold. I think for the price, they could serve better sides. Our server seemed new and was but familiar with menu or gluten allergy. Steak & Stone, in my opinion, is the best place in Mesa I have ever eaten.
The decor is a little half assed, the service was great, and the food was too. Prices are spot on. The idea of the stone cooking for food is fun and appealing. Don't bring your kids, it's not acceptable to plop a 600 degree rock in front of them and then tend to your own meal.
Amazing place. this is the definitive new hang out. The food is top notch and the service is well beyond expectation. This s a wonderful place to bring the family. Quality beef and these people know how to smoke a tri-tip.
First visit was last night and we will be back. Food was very good. Prices were reasonable. Service was great. The concept of cooking your own steak on a 500 degree rock is very interesting and it was easy. They will cook it for you of you desire. Their menu had so many other great foods. We will be back to try more of your menu offerings. The peach cobbler w/ice cream was very tasty. This looks like our new local restaurant choice. And open for lunch too. Glad I work from home some days :)

Was skeptical about how well the steak would cook on the stone but it was awesome.
We have been to Steak and Stone twice now. Enjoyed both times and will return. The reason for only 4 stars...need to have a better beer selection (mich ultra), the desserts need some work we ordered the chocolate cake for 5.95, it was a cheap bundt cake from the grocery store very disappointed. We do love the steaks but wish you received a dinner plate to put your finished steak on so you can keep it at the correct temp. This place is just lovely! So fun!! The food is amazing...melt in your mouth steak, homemade mashed potatoes, super fresh mixed greens salad!! The staff is so friendly and the owner David takes great care of his customers!! Try this place!!
