They did the same thing to me!! I have seen other vision centers and actually work for an insurance company. When vision centers or doctors try and charge you more than your copay report to your insurance company they will be put on a list and if they have too many complaints they will be taken off the group network. Always call the insurance company and ask what you will be paying. poor customer service-overcharged – Had the worst experience, I took my 16 daughter in for an exam and was fitted for glasses. We have double insurance but were told they could only bill one insurance and we needed to pay $90, so we did. After getting home and checking insurance coverage I made two phone calls and trip down to the office regarding this but was told this is correct, I then submitted the $90 to my husband’s insurance but was later denied because they paid the clinic. Nice friendly office State Avenue Vision offers a large selection of current frames and sunglasses. The office is nice a bright, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They bill most insurances, and their frames are reasonably priced. They also do contact lenses, and have two Optometrists on staff.
