Growing up as a child we used to always visit Starved Rock trails when we were in Illinois visiting family. We had such fond memories here. So naturally, as an adult with a family of my own, we decided to stay a week at the Lodge when we went up to visit family in Illinois. We stayed end of July 2016. It was FABULOUS! We had breakfast every morning in the dinning Hall. It was tasty and the wait staff were pleasant. We had dinner once in the dinning Hall and it was good as well. This park is fabulous. The old inn is history. Come here every year. A good blend of the old and new. The grounds have something for everyone. Enjoy
We booked for 20 people for todays brunch. We arrived and only had 18 seats for our family. My husband went to one of the hostess and explained our situation and in turn she was very rude and was not accomodating at all. We suggested to pull another table to the end. Was not happening! So needless to say we will not book for big parties. Very dissappointed in the customer service!
