ok saw this residential neighborhood diner on a rerun segment of Triple D. Fortunately, it is only a few blocks from my daughter's apt. She had not yet discovered it and I was visiting for TG, so this was on the list to try. Folks, if you're ever in the Belmont Shores/Heights area of Long Beach - treat yourselves and go here!!! The food was amazing. I had the pulled pork with carmelized onion scramble. It's a meal that you must experience.
We're regulars here. Starling is my favorite breakfast spot. Service is excellent, menu choices are diverse and meticulously prepared, and delicious. Plenty for vegetarians (though I'm not sure about vegans). Cute decor adds to atmosphere.
