At the airport Starbucks, I asked for a cup of hot water, and Kaniya kindly gave it to me. She gently asked if I would like to buy a coffee, and I nodded yes without hesitation. Even though I had already had quite a bit of coffee earlier, I didn’t want to consume kindness without giving something back.
