I had a very upsetting experience at this Starbucks in Anacostia today. Even though I arrived before several other customers, my order was taken late and prepared after multiple Black customers who came in after me. It was very clear that I was treated differently because I am White, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable, especially in a company like Starbucks that claims to value diversity and inclusion. One of the most welcoming Starbucks I've ever been to! The employees welcome almost every single customer that walks in and it is very clean/spacious. One of the employees made rounds to ask if anyone needed anything which I have never seen done at a Starbucks. There's a private conference room inside as well, highly recommend!
