I arrived at the location 20 minutes past opening, security informed me that the barista was “gathering materials” I stood for about 7 minutes and they had not returned. I had about 20 mins to spare before going to work. This is unacceptable, it’s disrespectful of patrons time. Do better.

I just want to shout out the amazing staff who go out of their way to ensure their customers have the best experience possible. The atmosphere is lovely, where individuals from all walks of life can relax and work from their laptops. I am grateful that a Starbucks has been implemented in the Shepherd Park/Walter Reed Parks neighborhood.

Here is the corrected version: I came to this store around 4:00 PM, and one employee was working. He served a few teenagers ahead of me. I asked him if I could place my order and then go somewhere for a few minutes. I told him I would come back shortly to pick it up. He told me, “Go now because I’m busy. You can order when you come back.” When I came back after 5–10 minutes, the line was already very long, so I left the store without ordering. This was bad customer service.
