I'm kind of trolling the Starbucks closures atm...really surprised this one closed, it was the nicest I've been to in DC. Maybe the rent was crazy high? Or maybe instead of the closures being part of a successful turnaround, they are just crashing and burning.
Very sad to see this place got closed down, I’ve been coming here for a year and a half now just because of how lovely the service has been here. If it was for studying or just getting water after my runs, it was always nice to be greeted by smiling faces. I came here so much to the point the baristas remembered my name and order. Thank you guys for always going above and beyond! (Special shoutout to Shawn, David and Dre)
For the past 4 months since April 2025 I have been religiously going to this Starbucks at Georgetown DC almost every day. Coming in this location, rain or shine I will always be greeted with a warm smile and welcome by their team! Baristas here recognize their customers by name AND their favorite drinks! It means a lot to see that this crew at this location has a culture that deeply connects with their community. Tremendously sad to hear the news that this location is shutting down... I come to this Starbucks multiple times a week, and the workers & people in this location make it feel like family. I travel a lot for work and there was NO other Starbucks in the country that felt like this one... Lemlem, Yussra, Colton, Collin, Reggie, Shawn and so many others made this place incredibly special. Starbucks shouldn't be shutting down this location, they should keep it open so that other locations can replicate what this one does so well... read more
The old lady Lisa that works there with glasses and blonde hair has the nastiest attitude in life. It’s like she escaped a nursing home and stumbled in there to ruin everyone’s day, team members included. Lisa can’t toast a bagel properly or take an order correctly. Great location, not great employee. She held the line up taking the wrong orders and walking back and forth saying awful things about guests.
