We have been bringing our pets to Star of Texas for at least the last six years. I have never found a vet hospital that cares so much for my four legged family members as the doctors and staff of Star of Texas. This past week we had to put down our 15 year old dog, Zoe. Dr. McCoy and the staff were there to make a sad situation as bearable as possible and gave us lots of hugs while we said goodby to our girl. I was recommended to this clinic by a very close friend, and I definitely have found my vet home in Austin. The environment is welcoming and calming, as well as everyone that works there. Elphaba was completely at ease the whole time. Christine McCoy is by far one of the best vets I've had the pleasure of working with. I have no doubt that my pets are in the best hands at this clinic. We had to put our beloved dogs to sleep last week. The compassion and care we were given and the handling of their passing was phenomenal. It was not easy, but their caring helped so much. Thank you.
I went with my mother to put her cat to sleep on Saturday. They worked us in first thing in the morning and put her in a quiet room to say her goodbyes. After it was done the staff all came up and hugged my mother and made supportive comments. I just wanted to thank everyone and let everyone know what a caring and compassionate staff they have!
