My husband and I have been bringing our two dogs and our cat here for a few years. Dr. McCoy and staff are the best--they have taken such great care of our animals, and have always been completely up front and honest about the best course of care for them. And I really feel like they love and care about our pets--the technicians (*special shoutout to our favorite, Teresa) are so affectionate and caring, I never doubt that they have anything but the best intentions for them.
I'm new in town, and my 17-year-old cat started showing symptoms of a UTI. I called a number of vets in my area in the morning and no one had an opening for a day or two. Finally around noon I called Star of Texas. They had no appointments open but after consulting with the doctor said they could work me in at 3. I cannot speak highly enough of how well Star of Texas handled a painful situation where I had to put my 16 year old cat to sleep. From the second I called and the urgency in the response of "come now", to my receipt at the hospital of being rushed to a room, to the kindness of every single person I interacted with, to checking me out from the room so I didn't need to stop on the way out, to the lit candle to let others know a pet had died...to the hand signed card by all employees of the clinic! This place is the best. Everyone there cares so much. You will get the best, most compassionate care here.
The term "fur baby" may be overused, but our dogs are as important to us as our children. And we always count on Dr. Samon and Dr. McCoy, as well as their staff, to provide the very best care.
I love Star of Texas - all our animals are SoT patients and will remain so!
