Dealers are still doing it! Took my 2001 Lincoln Continental to dealer that I purchased it from and they told me it had a hole in the radiator which would require a replacement and a steering rack (whatever that is) that needed to be replaced. That cost was going to be over $1,400. On the recommendation of my husband, I took it to Star & Northwest. There is no hole in the radiator and there is nothing wrong with the steering rack. Solid local shop. I would probably rate them 3 stars for the work they've billed me for, and 5 stars for the stuff they've done for free. They are close to where I live, so the convenience factor is huge. Their prices are pretty reasonable. Their staff is friendly, but they sure keep busy. The parts they use seem so-so. They put some brake pads and rotors on for me that squealed, and then they couldn't fix the squeal. The Best Around! Best shop in town...I have looked and looked for an honest dealership. I am not sure what that 1 star rating was talking about. They guys in there were so friendly and did such a great and honest job. I have nothing but positive things to say! I would recommend this shop to everyone. The owner, Donn, is so friendlly! He explained everthing I needed to know and let me decide what I wanted done!
a huge not recommended on Angie's list a total mistake .. estimate given over the phone was 200 dollars less when i picked up my auto and asked why it was more i was told that additional work needed to be done without my authorization .. work was not performed properly.. took car to dealer and was told that work performed was not done correctly. and caused further damages to my vehicle ... will never recommend this place to any one at all ...
Job Well Done! I have read the reviews, and after my first visit I was very impressed. Good service, didn't over charge, and I was in and out! A little confused why Mike S. said he wasn't happy, but he must have gone back again to write a second review. If you notice the only 2 negative reviews are from the same person! Try this place out! Great service Star and Northwest is the best! I took my car to another repair shop for an oil change and they said I needed a whole new exhaust system. Then I took it to Star for a second opinion and it was just a very simple part that was lose on the exhaust pipe. Very easy and an inexpensive repair. They fixed it on the spot. I appreciate their honesty.

I had recently taken my car to 3 different auto repair shops looking to figure out what was wrong with my brakes Everyone except SNW, gave me the runaround and over charged. I finally took my vehicle to Star Northwest and received exceptional service. My car was done in a very timely manner, very competitive prices, and nice staff. Finally, I have no problems with my car, and it is now running with over 100,000 miles! I would recommend this shop to my friends and family.
