Explain procedure ahead of time. After up selling me on deodorizer, they then asked if I wanted them to simply clean around the furniture. Thinking they must be trying to upsell me again, I said yes and I moved a couple of small pieces my self. They told me that there is no additional charge for the furniture moving so I said, ok - go ahead then. I booked an appointment for carpet and hardwood floor cleaning. The online estimate was a little more than $200. When the tech arrived, my areas were "too big" for the 2 rooms for $99 special. So that increased the price. Then we were talking about the hardwood and he said "we will put a sealant on it that will give it a nice shine" and we said "that's great". This is the worst job of cleaning our carpets anyone has ever done, they were very fast and spent more time on high pressure sells trying to get more money out of us to do more than just cleaning the carpets and all we wanted was carpets clean and they couldn't even do that well I have to go back over my carpets and re do areas. I thought this company was a good company and would do a good job, not the case at all will never use or recommend them to anyone!!!!!!

I scheduled my visit online and was given a window. Using their notes section I asked for a more specific timeframe (smaller window than 3 hours). Not only did they miss my request, I was told "we don't look at the notes". Further, they missed the entire expanded window then called to say they'd be even later. Many phone calls were required on my end to keep following up with my explanation of time line for kids at the of day. We have used Stanley Steemer 3 times at our current location. Each time the staff was friendly, did a great job on the carpets and treated my home with respect. My only concern would be the deodorizing we had done on the family room carpet. After drying I expected no odors however there is still a slight dog odor.
