This vintage cafe and ice cream soda fountain shop was crafted with all original fixtures, signs, and memorabilia that we have collected over the years, from the liquid carbonic soda fountain we use to handcraft each soda and float, the same way it was done decades ago - to the blinking atomic ball light that was used in the fifties to attrach customers to luncheonettes. GREAT New York style pizza! GO and enjoy. Wonderful music and service.
My band Funeral Horse was in town to play at The Deadhorse Saloon and Stango's was recommended to us for their pizza. Both myself and my guitar player both being New Yawk natives had to check it out and were both amazingly impressed! The pizza at Stango's was better than the pizza we had in N.Y.C. during our tour stop last August. In addition to great pizza they have a unique decor that flashes back to late 50's through the 60's. Great place to hang out love the atmosphere and juke box plus free wifi!
The pizza oven wasn't warmed up, so I couldn't order a slice. Why advertise pizza if you aren't ready to serve it? The soda was flat and tasted bad. I only took two sips of it and stopped. Overall, they seem not to care. Fine with me, I'll go have lunch and spend my money somewhere else.
Ordered a cappuccino was awesome, so I also ordered one to go. Pizza was pretty good, not the best. Service was Terrible. The waitress didn't give time for us to ask for anything we needed she walked away from our table immediately. We had to walk up to the counter to get a refill of water. When we went up to the counter, the cashier didn't address me, she addressed our waitress. I continued to wait until I could ask for a box to go. Very rude! I love the atmosphere and come when ever I'm in Angelo. Always get quick, friendly service. This is difinitely my hangout, chillin' place of choice.
