I want to preface this by saying that I do not blame the staff working today. The ladies were very nice, and from what I understand, the doctor was kind as well. My disappointment is with the overall lack of timely communication, organization, and consideration for families’ time. My daughter’s appointment was scheduled for 4:10 PM, but she was not seen until approximately 5:00 PM. Extremely Disappointing Experience at Stanford Children’s Health – Walnut Creek I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Stanford Children’s Health in Walnut Creek. Our appointment was scheduled for 4:15 PM. I arrived at 4:32 PM, just two minutes past their stated 4:30 PM check-in cutoff. Horrible horrible experience going here for my small 20 month old toddler. We were referred by an emergency room doctor on base for a hard rock like and quarter size bump on her neck that hasn’t gone away or down in months. We were referred to and saw Thomas Hui. Elaine at the GI department in Walnut Creek is soo rude. She tells me there’s an appointment available same day at 12:40 and then puts me on hold to verify with someone and comes back and says that same day appointments are not allowed and then I explain to her that the lady I spoke to last was able to give me a same day appointment because my appointment was rescheduled due to the doctor not being in that day and she hangs up the phone while I’m talking. Took my 7 month old baby boy in for a head shape check. The nurse practitioner who saw him was Camly Slawson. His pediatrician said his head was improving, but Ms. Slawson rated it a severe 100, which I honestly don’t agree with and I’m now seeking a second opinion. At the end of the visit, she even commented that my baby looks cuter from the front than the back, which was unprofessional and hurtful.
