A visit to St. Vincents ER was a very unsatisfied experience. Sit most all day waiting for help I never received, then got sent to main UAB ER and received no help there either. (No communication between hospitals) Was needing to see an orthopedic dr. for a follow up for a possible returning infection that I was treated for while in St. Vincents for lung diaphram plication surgery. Finally had to go home and contact the orthopedic surgeon myself. Not a way to run an ER!
My name is Edgar Davis. I was at the emergency room on Thursday, June 15th. I was throwing up blood and passed out. I woke up and threw up 2 liters of blood. They took care of me, even in the CICU. I have not a single complaint about my care.
I went to the ER on Sunday morning for head and neck pain that woke me up out of my sleep. I had the worst experience that I have ever had at an ER. The doctor was not polite and he made be feel belittled. I was treated like I was there for pain meds. I never go to the ER. I thought I could have meningitis or even stroke. I was brushed off after CT was normal and labs were normal. I know there is something going on but he was ready to just get me out. My mom had a aphib heart and they keep her out in the waiting room while she was having one so that a bad emergency room
