Horrible hospital. Went there several times for a single issue. I was treated like I was a hyperchondriac. Went to another hospital and was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer.
I was skeptical about going to STM because of things I've heard. There was no need. I received excellent treatment. Everyone that dealt with me was kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I am very happy That I trusted them with my medical needs.
They went above and beyond for my son when he was brought in with bicycle injuries by ambulance. Since I am out of state, they called me and kept me updated with all the tests and results. I will forever be grateful.
My husband suffered a stroke on Tuesday and from the time we literally walked into emergency until he was released he had the most fantastic care. They treated both of us with such class and very compassionate for my husbands condition. Lyle and I would like to thank both Stephanie's, Marla, Paige, Rebeka, Bonnie, Brenda, Jill, Charlie and Anne for the outstanding care they gave. I can't put into words how wonderful everyone was. My wife and I just returned home after the birth of our first child. Everyone that we dealt with was warm, professional, and really seemed to care about their patients. They answered any questions we had and demonstrated anything we asked. We were very well informed throughout the entire visit. For first time parents I would also recommend inquiring about the child birth classes offered. They are extremely informative, very affordable, and presented by great nurses with years of experience on the OB floor.
As to all these pessimistic comments some are ludicrous, I know 9 years ago when I moved here I was told how bad it was. I started working at Centura and was not to impressed with the Er staff then (again 9 years ago). Our hospital has heard the publics comments and over the last few years St. Thomas More has worked very hard to rectify everything.
