Best experience in a er setting I have ever had, minimal wait time. Amazing staff from Check in, nurses, Dr, X-ray, discharge. Kind kind people and truly care about you as a patient. This will be the er I go to if I need to in the future. Great experience. Communication from everyone was top tier.
My grandpa was admitted to the ED, there he was restrained and left in pain. They restrain so many patients. I highly do not recommend this hospital to anyone. Patients do not received quality care, and the medical staff does not prioritize the patient.
Brought my husband in for severe abdominal pain 4/15/26. Sat in the ER maybe 2 hours. Gave him a quick CT scan of his abdomen, didn’t see anything. However, his white blood cell count was more than doubled. Gave him some antacids, sent him home. ZERO antibiotics. Came home, started running a fever and in much more severe pain. Took him to our family doctor, she ordered us to go to Athens Regional. Got there, had to have emergency surgery the same day! Appendix was torn!!! SHAME ON SAINT MARYS!!! Never again! I recently had a total hip replacement. From the moment I walked in to the security desk to the moment I walked out of the hospital I was treated extreamly well. Everybody on my team was awesome and they made me feel like they really cared. Horrible place nurses won’t change the bandages on my gf arm. She had been asking for 30 minutes and they just kept telling her that they have someone there then she asked again and they said the nurse just stepped out. They haven’t changed the bandages since they put it on and it’s been a day or two horrible service security is rude.
