Just read a review about Dr Brabson hurting a patient, and decided I would finally write about my experience with him, from 10+ years ago. I'm ALWAYS in search of a good gyno - the never ending and fruitless serch for decent women's health care in E TN - and am combing through reviews once again. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Tennova North’s midwifery and labor and delivery teams! As a neurodivergent individual with several underlying medical conditions, including hEDS, and a history of precipitous labor (which ended up repeating itself!), I cannot express how much it meant to consistently feel heard, respected, and cared for throughout my pregnancy. They NEVER see you on time. Horrendous service. People here are in slow motion. 45 minutes late to every appointment AT LEAST. How are they so incompetent at scheduling.

I want to start of by saying that Dr. Roberts is an absolute angel who has gone above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and taken care. Her and the nurses who prepped me for my surgery in early 2025 took incredibly good care of me. However, the lack of communication and the absolute rudeness from some of the front desk staff is uncalled for. My birth experience at Tennova with the midwives was amazing! Initially, I was in another state with a homebirth planned, but upon moving to TN at the beginning of my third trimester, I learned my insurance doesn’t cover homebirths here. I was very skeptical of giving birth at a hospital, but upon meeting and talking to the midwives, that quickly changed, and I was still able to take a holistic approach to my birth.
