Had another episode and ended up at St. Jude 3 weeks ago. ( usually 2 times a year..) Every time I am treated so well. The ER staff were kind and helpful. Then into a room on the 5th floor. Beautiful room, comfortable, amazing nurses. Only thing, possibly get a golf cart to drive visitors to the rooms. Had an elderly lady visit me. They did offer to bring her by wheelchair, but many people would be too proud to accept that. A gold cart would be very helpful.
Terrible, especially if you have a PPO. Will charge you facility fees for any and all facilities regardless of where the services are performed, outrageous fees for poor services. They will even charge you and your insurance for an unsolicited phone call if doctor calls you to notify of routine blood test results. Will avoid St. Jude in the future!!!
This medical center should be called St.Joke. Dad was sent to the ER via ambulance. We insisted something was wrong after a fall and they insisted nothing was wrong and sent him home. The next day we took him to PIH WHITTIER ER. He had a fractured rib, will be on oxygen for a few weeks and spent 4 days in the hospital. I’m so disgusted at the treatment given to a 75 year old man. Our elderly deserve so much more!!!
Beware of this hospital!! Some of the higher up staff members are not ethical! The majority of the nurses and other staff are great though. On October 13th, my mother ended up having to go to the ER from some complications she had after a colonoscopy she had done with another hospital she's a patient at. She was taken to St Jude's ER on Valencia Mesa because it was closer to her house. An emergency surgery was done on her, then she was placed in a room in ICU. Too many issues to speak about, basically my mother died at the hands of these people who espouse Hope. The atrocious treatment by the ICU and CCU staff at night comes as no surprise after reading some of these reviews on here. Not to mention, the Oncology department employs "Doctors" without any sense of accountability. They decide the course of treatment, they don't have to check in with a department head to make sure they aren't missing anything, they aren't even given p...Continue Reading
