Was here for 4 days. The night staff didn't do checks. The night nurse took so long to bring medication. The Dr's are rude and don't listen to their patients. I was the only black patient in the area and everyone ignored me, never asked if I needed anything. It took hours for me to get some type of medication for relief. It blows my mind to have sat on the seventh floor after my mother had surgery and see how intensely rude, impatient, and lacking in compassion the nurses were. As a former nurse myself, I understand how critical it is to be patient even when a patient might be showing they're frustrated or irritated with their circumstance. This hospital is horrible, especially the ER. A majority of the nurses don’t care about their actual job. They lack on their duties and responsibilities and treat patients as if they’re bother. The ER doctor is horrible. During my day and half visit there for a family member I caught this doctor saying many unethical things about my family member. Initial visit was er. The staff is wonderful - doing their jobs despite ongoing constant and persistent emt arrivals and construction noise . People were treated respectfully and with care despite the place being packed. Once admitted, my daughter received A/1 care thanks to pleasant, competent and cheerful nurses and aides. The entire place is spotless and bright & clean. Food is also good. So glad I took her there for care.
