8 hours. An 8 hr wait in the ER....we were forgotten.
Not a fan of the ER over all. Please don't treat me like a Narcotic seeking addict when both my medical history and blood test prove that I try to eschew them, especially even for chronic pain issues. Don't disregard my concern that I might actually be also having a cardiac event on top of things (Hello, I'm a diagnosed HEART FAILURE patient!) and tell me how the ER is for urgent issues - I'm glad my visit was a short one (this time!) . Upset that I wait 15 minutes to be checked in only to be told to leave since they were down a provider. Guess it’s time to not go back!!!
The nurses during my overnight stay were INCREDIBLY kind and compassionate. I'd just had surgery and though I knew I'd be uncomfortable they tried to make me as comfortable as possible. I even told one of them I normally slept with a fan - she immediately got a Bair Hugger and had it blow cool air toward my bed. Despite not having a friend or family member with me, the nurses made sure I never felt alone. I'd highly recommend this facility and their amazing staff! <3
