Good people
The St Francis facility and staff are amazing. My dad had two stints here due to health circumstances, but fortunately the team here made it as easy as possible. The facility itself is nestled in the general neighborhood. Parking is simple as they have a large lot in the back. Upon entry, the area it bright and clean. Each room is alway clean and the building is properly staffed. In fact the staffing to resident ratio seem great. There is always someone to ask for help when necessary. My father is there now (8/2025). He's a vet and has been there for 5 or 6 day's. Almost immediately, he is telling me how young everyone is and how incapable the staff is. They don't give him meds on time. They are not friendly and act like the he is an inconvenience. He is supposed to get up and out of bed every so often. With help mind you. I am formally expressing my dissatisfaction with the care my brother received at St. Francis Rehabilitation Center in Hayward. After being discharged from San Rose Hospital for heart failure, he was admitted to this facility for recovery. Despite the staff being generally polite, the conditions at the facility were extremely poor. My brother was placed in a crowded room with two other patients, limiting his privacy and comfort.
