I gave birth to my second boy Jody Sanchez on June 1,2017 @ 4:28pm a schedule c section. I want to thank all the nurses that took care of me n my son does days bt a special thanks and a very much appreciation to a nurse “khat” the days I was in the hospital we had a code “I want ice-cream” for a person too b removed. I am concerned to hear that St. David’s will begin using assistants for their Anesthesia department in stead of CRNAs, who are not only highly educated, but also have a firm foundation of patient care and one on one experience in the intensive care unit. Entry to practice for CRNAs is now a master’s degree after completing a bachelors degree and ICU experience. Many programs are now at the doctorate level. I delivered my son here and even though I expressed my concern that I wasn't making enough milk the medical professionals dismissed my concerns and made it sound like I was doing something wrong. By the 2nd night he was so upset that I asked for a bottle and they made me feel so guilty that I didn't give him the bottle. Fortunately I had a pediatrician appt the day after I was discharged who actually listened to me and since he had lost 10% of his weight she agreed. We gave him a bottle that he greedily drank.
