Hace 3 años estuve en ese lugar, la única persona que me trató como un ser humano fue un camillero que estaba ahí de todo el personal...Solo una vez ví a un médico, sin embargo tuve medicamentos todos los días, que nunca supe cuál era la función en mi cuerpo, el lugar es horrible, baño sucios y mixtos ,!.Nada que hacer siempre ignorada y maltratada por el personal. This place is dirty, theres no window coverings. They force you to eat in the dining room or you just don't eat. Not everyone is social. Especially in a setting like this where you dont want to even be there. So, no. I'm not going to eat in the dining room with everyone ellse. There's no tvs in the rooms, you cant have your cell phone. Its basically a prison you can walk around freely or sitting in your room staring out the window or at the wall. This place is absolutely horrible. They are practically just babysitters who clearly hate their job. I heard them say nasty things to the patients and laugh at them as well. This place is absolutely mind numbing. There is no actual treatment that helps with your mental health. You can sleep, stare at a wall, or watch judge Judy shows. They just have a doctor assess you and tell you “my job is to try to get you out here asap, ok”. This place shouldn’t be taking in any patients whatsoever.
They are just glorified babysitters. You can tell many of the staff members hate their jobs. You will just be sitting around all day bored with no stimulation. It is a mind numbing experience.
I would take Pehms over this hell any day. My constitutional rights were violated here. I won’t even go into detail. I. Am. A. Human. Being. And people wonder why there’s a mental health crisis in America? Thank you.
