I stayed at Apartment 5712, managed by Squirrel Hill Flats, for one year, and I can confidently say it has my highest recommendation. Highly recommended! Location, landlord, and overall conditions have all exceeded my expectations in every way so far. Details below. Location: *Extremely* nice part of town. The 2421 Beechwood building neighbors the Frick Park trails, and is a half a mile walk from the shopping center of town. We lived at 5710 Phillips Ave for two years and had a great experience. The location is phenomenal — close to shops, restaurants, and cafés, with a nearby bus stop that made commuting to the university easy. Plus, you’re just a short distance from the beautiful Schenley and Frick Parks, which was a huge bonus. I rented from Aaron for 3 years in Squirrel Hill and generally had a great experience. He's a nice guy, always direct and honest and quick to respond. The apartment I rented is in an older building, so naturally there were some issues, but Aaron would always send out someone to fix things right away or would come deal with it himself. Really happy with the apartment---it was a great find in a fantastic location.
