I rented from Aaron for 3 years in Squirrel Hill and generally had a great experience. He's a nice guy, always direct and honest and quick to respond. The apartment I rented is in an older building, so naturally there were some issues, but Aaron would always send out someone to fix things right away or would come deal with it himself. Really happy with the apartment---it was a great find in a fantastic location.
Highly recommended! Location, landlord, and overall conditions have all exceeded my expectations in every way so far. Details below. Location: *Extremely* nice part of town. The 2421 Beechwood building neighbors the Frick Park trails, and is a half a mile walk from the shopping center of town. I lived at the Forward Ave apartments for a year, and the only reason I didn't renew my lease is because I moved in with my partner! The Forward Ave apartment was my first ever apartment in my adult life, and I thought it was awesome. It was amazing being able to walk up Murray Ave all the time and get bubble tea, and it was really quiet in the evenings and fun to watch the deer walk around. Rented here for two years and had no issues. The location is pricey but well worth it for anyone who wants to live next to restaurants and shops and parks. I felt like I didn't even need a car to live here. Aaron himself was always responsive with maintenance requests and such, and my security deposit came back in full at the end. Definitely recommend these apartments for anyone who wants to live in Squirrel Hill.
Squirrel Hill Flats is great. The apartments are beautiful and Squirrel Hill is a fantastic neighborhood. Aaron has always been very kind and responsive to questions and service requests. Any issue is handles very quickly and with little inconvenience.
