The Spyglass Inn is such a gem! It’s dwarfed by the Dolphin Bay, next door, but has twice the charm for a fraction of the cost. We booked their corner first floor suite, with a gorgeous view of Pismo, Shell and Avila Beach. Meesh was such a gracious host! She made sure all of our needs were taken care of. The room was spotless with plenty of natural light and a comfortable bed. We will definitely be back soon. My husband and I plan on making a yearly trip to stay at the Dolphin Bay, since it’s such a quick trip from LA. Don’... read more

Booked a night here for a family of four based on the hotel's website and reviews. Sadly it was a bit disappointing. No seaview room available, no aircon, water in fancy bottles at $5 a pop. Swimming pool tiny and in the car park. Family rooms a bit small for four. Style over substance. Give it three stars.

We booked a room here expecting great things based on the price. We booked through Expedia. We are handicapped, but no handicap room was offered. We were given a first floor room. No view. Carpet was filthy. Bathroom toilet so low we had to call each other to help use it. ( that ain’t funny, kids, when you’re old as we are). No AC, just a potable fan. Bed was lumpy. We had planned to go further up the coast, but had to return home after a night of no sleep. Good for you people who rave about your experience. We were very dis... read more

We really enjoyed the outdoor patio area, but inside of the restaurant needs a revamp, and sane for its service. Same for the food, it was good, but service needs some attention to detail. Weather was 90 degrees, we waited 20 mins for water, utensils rec’d 10 minutes after food was delivered to table and appetizers after main entrees. Disappointing.

Business response:

This review is for the restaurant and not the hotel. They are separate owners. Could you please remove it and post to the restaurant? Thank you for your time to take care of this.
