Dr. Gore is my Hero! My cat had been losing weight for over a year and a half, and went from 12 lbs to 6 lbs. My previous vet kept saying that his blood test showed nothing was wrong with him. I took him to Dr Gore for a second opinion and have been very pleased. Dr. Gore put an incredible amount of effort into diagnosing him properly, and with her care he is now on the mend and is gaining weight for the first time in a couple of years. I'll never go there again Pros: The boarding staff is great and I am at ease leaving my dog there for long weekends. The dog area is not huge but for the price it's well worth it. Cons: I agree with Brad G. "this vet is a rip-off" and susan e. "pet med rip-off". I took my dog in to get groomed (I specifically said DO NOT SHAVE which they did anyway) and they called me up and said that he looked like he had an ear infection. This vet is a rip-off. Technically, I am sure this doctor knows what she is doing, but she has no common sense in her medical practice and the fees are outrageous. I came in with a slightly limping dog, and came out with a $750 bill just to get an x-ray, over $100 in medications, and a recommendation to crate him for two weeks. That's ridiculous. We had asked for an estimate before we agreed to have the work done, and all they would tell us is $80 for the diagnosis. Even after we complained, they did not tell us what the $50... read more
Dr. Gore and the SFAH team are Great! Dr. Gore and her team are professional, caring and offer a wide range of services. She has been my vet for three years performing shots, maintenance care, ER and euthanasia for my two dogs, now one :(. I would recommend them to others who have the financial means. You will not have to wait for appointments or worry about animals that may not get along in the lobby.
Excellent Vet but prices on meds are pretty high The clininc, it's staff and Doctor Gore are all second to none and I use the kennel at Spring Forest for boarding exclusively.

I have worked in the medical field all my life and clients do not realize that Pet Meds will not tell you where they get their medications from because it is black market people. Clients also have no idea that numerous vets have lost their license to practice for ordering bulk shipments of medications and sending them to online services. pet lover in NC I will never take my animals to another vet. Dr. Gore is the most honest, caring, and hard working Doctor that I have ever met. My animals are happy and healthy due to the care they have received in her office. The staff is kind and loving to all of the clients and patients.
