It is unbelievable the frequency at which this particular location can fundamentally screw up your order. Spread has great bagels. But I hate to go to this location because 85% of the time they screw up the order. I even asked as I was taking the bag, to make sure the correct items were in my order. They rolled their eyes at me and basically said “duh” only for me to arrive at my office open the bag and unwrap the completely incorrect order. Unreal
Spread Bagelry on 20th has been one of my neighborhood breakfast spots since 2017, and it never disappoints. Before coming here, I’d never really experienced Montreal-style bagels, and now I absolutely love them. The wood-fired finish gives them a slightly crisp exterior while still staying chewy inside, and they’re equally great as breakfast sandwiches or with schmears. Thanks for turning my block into a trucking operation for your new distribution warehouse in fishtown, and idling the truck for 3 hours a day at the side of my house. Really great improvement to our neighborhood hearing the constant slamming of trays and lift gates. All this food comes on a truck from sysco, us foods and David rosen baking. I know this because they all park in front of my house since you didn't bother to get a facility with a loading zone.
