Wanted to say thank you for a great weekend at your Detroit event this past weekend. As a teacher and a dance adjudicator the competition was well done. Came in to watch for fun and was blown away by the choices the judges made in Carson city. Made it clear to me that they really didn't have a wide range of experience to draw from when judging. Specialty styles of dance like tap or pointe were extremely mid-judged. MC and other staff were the only reason I didn't give 1 star. If you're going to charge as much as people told me you did then get some judges that know what they are looking at in terms of real dance technique.

We attended Spotlight as a new competition this year and it was so much fun! The whole weekend was filled with positive vibes and encouragement. I loved that the judges engaged with the kids and actually got up on stage and gave them awards! We're used to seeing the judges hastily leave the building as the awards get underway- almost like they're making a clean get-away, but not at Spotlight!
