Tonight was our 12th anniversary, we wanted to try something new to eat, my husband Googled best restaurants in eastern NC top on the list was Spoon River. We drove 1hr and 45 minutes to get there. And well worth it. The food was delicious, atmosphere was great and service was excellent. Teresa the owner is super sweet. She even gave me flowers when we left. We will definitely be back and we recommend to others. Also do not leave without dessert.
Artful dining done right! Theresa and her team serve delicious and creative fare while treating everyone like they are guests of honor. We absolutely love this place! Our twelve year old son requested this for his birthday dinner. Unfortunately they were closed on his actual birthday...but when Theresa heard about his request she went well above and beyond to make sure he had a great time. The best food in belhaven. It's so delicious. I promise it's the best food you will put in your mouth and lots of different wines to pick from as well.

I just can't say enough about Spoon River! We are so lucky to have it here. To say it's the best around wouldn't do it justice! It is truly a diamond in the rough! Thank you Teresa, Mark and Jeremy for giving us a place like this!!!! Love Ya'll!!!!

Jill, thank you for that comment. We feel very blessed to be part of such a great community of neighbors, friends and of course farmers for all the good stuff they bring us.
We took a risk and instead of "date night" had "family night" at a nice restaurant w/ our 3 and 5 year old. The service was great and the food was excellent. The boys loved the pumpkin ravioli. The fried green tomatoes were the best we have ever had! The best part, for the boys, was when the very nice owner (forgot her name already) brought out a GIANT tower of ice cream for the boys! A ton of thanks for that and for a wonderful evening! I will say, we prefer date night with wine and no children for the future ;)

I had a Xmas brunch with my family and it was amazing!! Every plate served is a piece of art and tastes as good as it looks!!! I would love to eat here again, and the decor is as interesting as the plates are beautiful
We picked Spoon River for our store Christmas party and were blown away! The service is impeccable and the food was amazing! What a great night...we will be back. It's worth the drive!
