Simply the best vegan food, and close to the best food period, I have ever enjoyed. Given that I have been lucky enough to have dined in many Michelin starred restaurants around the world, I think this is saying something.
I absolutely love Spiral Diner. Besides the food being mind-bogglingly delicious, I love the diversity of the staff AND the customers!!! It’s a great people watching experience to look out across the restaurant and see so many people representing the spectrum of race, hue, (assumed) socio-economic status, etc. LOVE IT!! Totally debunks those who thing being vegan is a white thing (how did that myth even get started???) or an elitist thing. Service is great too!!
The waitress took my order standing over the booth while I was seated instead of walking around and standing next to me I didn't like that that was very unattractive. The food was cold it was expensive no reason for it to be cold. Very bad experience.
I go to this place every time I'm in Dallas. I took my nonvegan friend with me this time and while it wasn't exactly what he was used to eating he was able to find something on the menu to eat. It makes eating out such a great experience. Peanut butter shake is a must.
