Home owners beware of using this company to manage your property. They promise high standards but do not deliver on these promises. I live out of state and received bills for property maintenance for several years. I always paid the bills even though they appeared rather inflated. I rented from select last year and I just moved out in October of 2016. When I moved in I payed a deposit of $600 and they informed me the they had to get the downstairs carpet changed and would have someone contact me. It took over 2 months for anyone to contact me. So there's that. Then when I moved out they said I should get my deposit back in a couple weeks. They do not deserve the one star that is on there. This is the most unorganized, unprofessional, unethical, most disrespectful bunch I have ever had to deal with.
You will regret leasing with this company. And you definitely do not want them to manage your home.
This company has some of the strangest policies I have ever heard of. After requesting a rental reference several times for a former resident that had moved out less than a year ago, they told me the record was in storage and that it would cost me $25 to get it!!! What? I have been in the business a long time, and in my many years I have never heard of anything like this. I rented from them for four years. I paid rent on time in full every month. Now that I have informed them I am moving, they are trying to milk me for every penny they can. They want to charge me a termanation fee which is $1200. What the hell? I have been off the lease for three years and have done nothing wrong. I am telling you they are total jerks, sure they are nice to you while you rent from them, but watch out when you try to move. I have even heard of them taking someone to court to replace the carpet.
