About this business
We are a driveline specialist. Although we are capable of most any automotive repairs, your transmission, differentials, transfer case and clutch is our meat and potatos. No one in town is faster than we are, in turn around time. We can also put you in a no-cost loaner to drive, while yours is in for repairs....just replace the fuel that you use. We even have two pickup trucks in the loaner fleet, should you need that (heads-up contractors!) If you need a tow, we absorb the cost for our customers.

Great Service! I have taken my car to Speedy a few times now (for unrelated issues) and they are always super polite and... wait for it... Speedy! Once I had a mechanic at another place change my oil and told me there were several other things that needed work. I took it to Calvin after calling around for prices, only to find out there was very little that needed to be fixed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I am new to Knoxville and a friend referred me to Speedy Transmission for some work on my vehicle. I could not be more pleased with the level of service I received. I have never encountered a more honest and friendly auto service. The work was completed very quickly and the price was more than fair. I will not take my vehicle to anyone else from now on!
Tranny work I had a very good experience with Speedy Transmission. Tranny went out on my H3 and Calvin at speedy's was awesome. I called the shop , he towed my car from Halls to his shop for free. Then he did diagnostics for free. He rebuilt the 4l65e tranny cheaper then Trans corp of America. And did a lot better work then Budget Transmission ever dreamed of, which is right down the street from Speedy Transmission. Don't bother going to Budget, you get what you pay for. Never Again My transmission was diagnosed by another mechanic that it needed rebuilt or replaced. I checked around on prices for used transmissions and decided to give Speedy a call to see what it would cost to rebuild mine. I was given a quote of 1300.00 that included the labor and master rebuild kit but would not include other components that may need replaced in the tranny (I was told that I probably wouldn't need a torque converter or many other components since mine worked fine in reverse) Given the fact that a used one... read more
Amazing and Fast Service! On Tuesday, June 18th, 2013, I was on my way back from Huntsville, AL, to my home in Virginia in an attempt to bring my parents' truck in advance of their official move back to Virginia. Amazing Customer Service! I was recently told I needed to have my transmission (as well as my coolant) flushed/changed after an oil change. I called seven different shops, including the dealer, for prices and each told me that it needed to be done and it would be $150+. However, when I called Speedy Transmission they immediately told me that they thought I might have a synthetic fluid in my transmission and that I didn't need to have it serviced at all (or at least not until 100k+ miles). Great Experience & Quick Service We were on our way to Alabama from Pennsylvania. My transmission release bearing burnt out in Knoxville, TN. I called every tranny shop in the area and was told "we can't because", but Speedy Transmission COULD!!! Calvin got me in and out in a true Speedy fashion!!! He really takes pride in what they do. His mechanic stayed late night after hours to finish the job...I have not had any problems since then!
Great Shop.. Excellent Service!! I was traveling and had some difficulties with my vehicle. I had called this transmission shop. They had me bring my car right in. Very Smooth Transaction!
