Speech Start holds such a special place in my heart and always will! My daughter Lucy is almost 4 years old and the happiness that Speech Start and Bernadette have brought her is priceless. The progress she has made thanks to Speech Start is incredible and she’s loved every minute of her time there. The comfort that Bern has given me as the parent from the first day I met her means the world to me. I can’t say enough amazing things about Speech Start!
We first started with speech start over 10 years ago when our oldest son wasn’t speaking at around 18 months old. Dr. Bern and Miss Marissa were fantastic with him for many years and we saw such improvements and watched our sons speech flourish with them. Speech Start has absolutely changed our lives and that is not even a slight exaggeration! Our daughter had a feeding tube as a toddler and experienced a significant speech delay as a result. We are so happy to be a Speech Start family. My son sees Miss Lizzie for delay, articulation, and oral motor planning. The progress he has made is astounding. He speaks in full sentences and has conversations when he used to struggle with making multiple word statements. I would recommend Speech Start to anyone looking for services for their child!
Thanks to Ms. Bernie my son started to eat on his own! She is the only one that can get him to try something for the first time. He loves her and so do I!!!
Speech Start has been wonderful ever since we started with them. My son has made tremendous improvements and continues to thrive. He receives speech and OT and I just cannot believe the progress be continues to make. Ms. Kerry, Ms. Kara, and Ms. Michaela are all fantastic!

Speech Start has meant the world to us for the last 5 years. Our 1st born son was not speaking by the age of 20 months so we brought him in for an evaluation with Dr. Bern. We 100% recommend Speech Start. Shay has been an absolute godsend. We have seen more progress with her than we have in 2 years with speech in school. She has gone out of her way outside of office hours to help us, including attending IEP meetings. She has been the only person to help our nonverbal son start saying words.
