Great comfort food. Good beer. Love the bar and the fireplace. Be back soon!
In Reading for a conference and looking for a place to eat in the city, found The Speckled Hen and was very pleasantly surprised at the quaint atmosphere and excellent menu. The drink and on tap choices were great! Food came hot and was delicious. Only curious thing was how empty the restaurant was, it should have been packed for how good everything was!
I had the sirloin burger and fries which was very good. I had an Octoberfest beer and a Speckled hen beer. Both were good. My wife had a crab cake which she said was very good. Also the pumpkin ale that she liked.

Really cute hole in the wall spot. Outdoor area is really fun, decor is highly interesting! Asparagus appetizer was delicious!
