My nail person talked on her cell phone while giving me a pedi. Nice. – I went there on 9/06/06... I was very disappointed. It came highly recommended, but I wouldn't recommend anyone else to go there. The lady doing my nails was very abrubt, talked on her cell phone, and kept leaving me to do other things. I went in with my sister for a mani/pedi, it was not relaxing-- and I felt bad it was my sisters' first spa experience. I picked a fingernail color that I was told I could not use because it "chips" (why stock it then)...... read more
Great staff, super sweet setting! – I so enjoyed my pedicure. The shop was just darling, lots of fun stuff for sale. My gal who did my pedicure was very attentive and friendly. Overall impression of the staff was excellent, NE 28th is charming with lots of fun shops and restaurants. Great shop and experience.
Great pedicure + Good wine = Awesome time! – I am new to Portland and have been looking for a place to get manicures and pedicures that is nicer than your average strip-mall nail place. Spa La La was great! The staff were so nice, the music they played was very relaxing but also upbeat. I love that they use Essie and OPI polishes, because they make your manicure last so long. As soon as I walked in they offered me tea, red or white wine, or a mimosa to sip on during my services, which was perfect! My experience at Spa La La ... read more
Too Rushed!!! – This is such a cute shop with great potential. Love their local stuff for sale and cute setting. However, we went there with 8 women for a bridal bachelorette party and were very disappointed with the service. The hostess was nice enough, but we had to ask her for everything. Mostly thought, the manicures and pedicures were VERY quickly done (which seems to go against the idea of relaxing with some champagne, having time to shop around, etc). As noted by some of the other reviewers, the technicians (we referr... read more
Spa la la . . . this one is a definate miss! – When I go to a spa to have a manicure I want to relax, be pampered, and have the technician do a good job on my nails while in a professional, fun enviroment. Spa la la is not such a place. After much confusion with the technicians (3) trying to determine who I was (they each called me by a different name even though I had clearly stated my name when I checked in) I was taken to what I call a family style table with four chairs on each side and one chair on each end. Having my n... read more
spa la LAME – my pedicure was rushed and my toes had polish bleeding onto my skin and some nails weren't completely covered in paint at all. good atmosphere - lame delivery.
This place is cute but not consistent in the quality of their service. – Sometimes i have had good pedicure treatment and other times the workers rush you through to get to the next group of tips!. Took my mother in when she came to town for a visit and she was most unhappy with the service and the final result. We both felt rushed through and they skipped the leg scrub. The Salon is cute and the owner does good quality control but she is not always there and it is those times, in my opinion, when it turns into a factory sty... read more
Spa atmosphere, chop shop service – This store is super cute, but the services provided are strictly chop-shop style. I had a "luxury" pedicure and my tech rushed me through less than an hour's worth of a superficial, hamhanded massage/scrub/polish (she spent most of the time conversing with her co-worker). Every now and then she would look up and give me a token, "How do you feel?" in a way that made me feel like she didn't care about the answer. The products used (lotion, scrub, etc.) seemed very cheap and not luxurious at... read more
Cozy, girlie spa and boutique offers manicures, pedicures, skin care and waxing on bustling NE 28th. – In Short The spa is light and bright, with a feminine summer cottage décor. Pillow-topped wicker chairs and a pink-gingham draped farmhouse table make a comfortable, multi-seat manicure station. Four pedicure spas line up on a platform for a birds-eye view of the busy street-corner. Neighborhood Moms, gal pals and professionals sip complimentary mimosas while perusing jewelry, handbags, fashion tees and body products. There... read more
