Excellent mani/pedi – The spa is very sweet and really goes beyond an average spa. The mani/ped was excellent, the tech seems to know if you want to chat or be left alone. Bring your own nail polish as the selection is not very good. Interesting that the spa gets rave reviews on the waxing as I found it to be the most painful i have ever had (maybe me). The waxing was far from complete and when i pointed that out the tech re-did it- but who wants to go through that.
Great waxing with the Russian lady, but so-so manicure with a brazilian lady – Loved the waxing here! The staff is very friendly, polite, everything was on time and quick. The lady who did the waxing for me was attentive and did a great job! They've got wax that doesn't feel hot and is very gentle on the skin. I also got their brazilian manicure that they advertised and wasn't very happy with it. The manager agreed that the lady did a poor job and asked her to redo it. My winter holiday – I began going to Spa Ja in December of 2005, after a good friend told me about it. I made an appointment for a facial & a massage thinking that it would be good 'test' of the services SPA JA provided....welll 6 hours later I surfaced having had a facial, a back facial, two massages, some reflexology on my feet during the facial. the perfect place to relax – I started to go to Spa Ja a few month ago for tanning and laser hair removal and from day 1 it was a great experience. The staff is always wonderfully welcoming: hot towel, tea and those incredible little scones or cookies that make you want to stop by every other day. Roxanne does a wonderful job with the laser hair removal and seems to master what she is doing. The ambiance is always perfectly relaxing with no pressure whatsoever. Do not wait just go and ENJOY
Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Spa ja!!!! – WHOA! Amazing experience. I've been there twice. Very smooth. Professionals. From the minute you walk in off the street and are warmly greeted and offered a steam towel, you have entered a sort of meditation experience. I have not stopped telling people about the reflexology treatment. Treatment rooms are all white with white leather comfortable electric lounges like at the dentist. Down comforter. Rude, Agressive, Not worth it – I had to wait 45 min for my appt. and after adressing this to management I was told "it's a busy night, these things happen". Well that was not enough of an explanation for me, especially after a long day at work. The products they use are nothing special, I guess they are trying to save $ on the products to make more on the services. Would NEVER go back.

Spa Ja has created a loyal following in our few months of existence due to our warm hearted approach and our fabulous services. Amazing experience – Without exagerating the best spa experience and massage I have ever had! I arrived from London with a jet lag and the flew so was looking for a spa near my hotel. Arriving at Spa Ja was like taking a warm bath: all the people were so kind and passionate about their profession. I tried the infra red/colour therapy treatment (where you are rubbed in oil with herbs and then wrapped in foil you lay in a cabin) - this was amazing. Best Brazilian Waxing – Although I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment, they apologized sincerely and profusely. However, now that I see that the other reviewer says that they waited 45 minutes, it might not be a coincidence. I've been getting brazilian waxes for many years over the course of multiple cities, so I know what's good and what is not. This was the best brazilian wax I've ever received. Could have been better – The people in the reception were exceptional sweet and so were the workers. However, I had to wait 45 minutes for my treatment. Then during the facial, my easthetician left me under the steam for what seemed like 30 minutes. They did try to make up for it by having someone come in and do a light massage. We try to do everything we can to make every visit and treatment the best it can be. When something does not go as it should we do our best to make things right. I am sorry you felt the need to speak here and not to us. We would have tried to address all of your concerns. Real time frames and "seemed like" can vary greatly, especially among the stressed.
