affordable and friendly The staff is very friendly and trained well. It's in a great location -an easy walk from where I work downtown. The prices are reasonable around the $20 range. They also have a great selection of hairproducts. The only parking available is street parking so that can be tricky and I recommend making an appt instead of just walking in.
Great experience I definitely recommend Spa in the City. They're right across from the City Market on Delaware, I do suggest making an appointment, it can be really busy there. PROS: easy location, friendly staff CONS:
DO NOT GO!!! Worst experience ever. Not sanitary, dumpy location, and the most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. To call this place a Spa is like calling the local subway a 5 star restaurant.

spa n the city I just love spa in the city Kelly does my nails and does a wonderful job.I've been going to her for yrs.I've also gotten massages from danielle and it is just so relaxing. It's a wonderful and friendly place to go! They r just great I can't say enough about spa in the city!
This spa is NOT at all what the pictures portray. So disappointed with the cleanliness and professionalism.

I went to this spa a couple of weeks ago for a gel manicure and aromatherapy massage. I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The atmosphere was so unprofessional- old chili containers in the work place, open chip bags laying around, no receptionist desk, not super friendly staff, so much clutter, etc. THEN I get my gel manicure which was really delayed because they had to untangle a huge wad of tangled cords to find a plug for one of the lamp. Who did the service? And why have you waited so long to complain?
I would have given it a negative star but it wouldn't allow me to. So many OSHA health codes are broken in this establishment. For example: Failure to store clean implements in a clean, dry, debris-free environment or failure to separate clean implements from soiled implements or non-cosmetology supplies. - 16 Tex. Admin Code Ch. 83.102(f). When was the last time a State inspector has made a visit? Those fines get pricey awfully quick.
