My wife and I moved to SouthWood a year ago. SouthWood is a great place to live. This is a golf cart community, which has a number of fun sides to it. There are all sorts of community wide clubs and activities: Bridge club, pickleball group, tennis group, exercise classes, art classes, book club, a veterans club and the list goes on. The holidays have numerous community events for the whole family. People know one another and say "Hello" on the street. You pay too much for too little. Some of the employees are helpful and friendly, but the Community Development District fee is excessive. The same is true of the fees for the HOA. And, the pool closed in December when it is 79 degrees? Be Serious. If the foregoing were not enough, we have had no mailbox FOR MONTHS. Overpriced.
