Southwood Drive Animal Clinic I've been taking my dogs to Southwood Drive Animal Clinic for 15 years or more and I've been absolutely pleased with their services. They are all friendly people and they do a quality job. They just recently remodeled the clinic and it looks fantastic! -Herman B
Genuinely Care The veterinarians are always taking the time to talk to me about my pets and that is a huge thing with me. I really feel like they genuinely care about my dogs when I bring them in, so I know they are doing their best to treat them. I have been extremely happy with them and always have been. - D. S.
Great people here Dr. Ashburn is fantastic. The entire Southwood Drive Animal Clinic staff really shows how much they care about animals. They love my dogs as much as I do. When I need to go away on business I board them here, and the dogs are actually excited to see the vets. The doctors are always on top of treatments and know exactly what my pets need. I've been very happy with them, and have decided this is my go-to animal hospital in Lufkin.
Five Stars! Southwood Drive Animal Clinic is everything you would want from a veterinary office. Dr. Shawn Penn is great with all of my pets and is just an all around good person.
TooToo loved Dr. Penn and we still do! Dr. Penn treated my old lab, Tootie, for 5 years before having to put him down due to age related illnesses and no longer having the function of his back legs. He immediately recognized a disorder in our lab that is passed through bloodlines that no other Vet had seen and put him on the right medications that allowed our lab to walk, function and stay with us almost 5 more years. Good This clinic was very nice, with fair prices. Our dogs were happy here. The wait wasn't very long and the vet was willing to answer any and all questions. I learned quite a bit.

I brought my sweet cat Jack in for a blocked urethra. I'd previously taken him to another vet who's treatment practices were questionable and literally and verbally gave Jack a death sentence. Dr Penn and his staff saved my sweet kitty boy and he's now home. if I had stuck with the other vet, I would have already had to bury him.
