I was just informed by Jenny our manager that our pools (that wont be open on time because of covid) dog park, and fitness center are not "amenities" and we wont see a rent reduction because none of these "amenities" are open to their residents. On paper the only amenity we pay for is our Luxery package room. What a load of garbage.
Not a resident here anymore. However I've been trying to track the Certificate of Rent Paid for 2019 taxes, and due to the change in ownership, there's a ton of confusion regarding the CRP. Clearly there was poor transition between the old owner (redwoods residential) and the new one (Birge and Held Asset Management). I called Southwind to try to get hold of the old owner's contact but they weren't helpful at all.
Never shovel the sidewalks or plow the parking lots. The office staff never return your phone calls.
Living here has been an awful experience. Management is a complete joke, and is zero help with anything. We have had many problems and don’t hear back from management or maintenance when contacting them. The parking lot has potholes that could cause very serious damage to our vehicles, and it’s been this way all year. It’s nearly the end of summer, and the parking lot has only gotten worse. MANAGAMENT IS AWFUL THEY ONLY DO STUFF IF YOU COMPLAIN AND THREATEN THEM YOU WILL CALL SOMEONE TO COME IN. OUR DRYER HAD SO MUCH LINT IN IT THERE WAS LINT AROUND THE HEATER COILS HUGE FIRE HAZARD. over 10 days of dirty water stuck in our washer which is conveniently located in the kitchen which smells absolutely horrendous. 3 calls in the last month to the office no calls back service requests made online no responses for weeks.... Southwind village apartments need to figure out their parking situation then because my husband and I live in building 4 and we have guests all the time and we were told that people could park on the street or in building 5s parking lot.. so now they can't park in the street... where are they supposed to park ? Can our guests park in our lot if they ate here just for dinner ?! I mean we need this figured asap.
