Dr. Houghten kept us informed before and after surgery by personally calling me at home and when we were on the way. The entire hospital staff was so kind, caring and courteous. We arrived at 11:30 p.m. and the receptionist in the locked ER entrance took us right to the elevator and gave us directions to her room. RecommendedI spent the last two days getting thyrogen injections in the cancer center at SWHC. It was something that I have been terrified to do, but it’s a necessary step in the treatment of thyroid cancer. The woman that gave my injections was the most kind-hearted nurse. She sensed my anxiety, talked to me about my particular situation, and even educated herself on what I’ll have to go through this week. RecommendedWhat an awesome place to get healthy! I’m going to recommend swhc to anyone that needs surgery! Thanks to the nurses in the Medical Surgery wing for making my stay comfortable, memorable and amazing! The food was outstanding! The care first rate but more importantly, the care was personal. Great people! Thanks! Although nobody wants to be in the hospital, this place is going to be hard to leave! Ha!😇
