NO!!!!! but when in Lynchburg your option is Lynchburg General this morning it's clear that we are an inconvenience to the ER desk staff and triage nurse.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer, this is the LAST place you want to go for treatment. My father was diagnosed with stage III lung cancer which they said was inoperable. They said surgery was impossible and said he should start chemo and radiation that day! We said no thanks and made an appointment at Duke. Come to find out, it's only stage II, they can remove it and treat him with immunotherapy. They also performed MRI and CT scan and missed a large mass on his bladder! Over 3 weeks for mammogram results is unacceptable as much as it is unacceptable for a friend of mine with a history of cancer to be shoved aside & wait, wait, wait for test results. I will prob. die of high blood pressure and a heart attack before I get my mammo results. and! When I do, I bet the suggestion is: You need a sonogram - been there, done that 3 times and not again.........UVA is the answer, the only answer. Shame on you, Centra. CAUTION: If you see a doctor at the Atherholt Road address at the Lynchburg Hospital, they will charge you $392 for using the hospital facilities (I guess for checking in at the front desk and using the bathroom). Sorry Centra but I just can't afford you.
