I can't say enough about Dr. Hemby and his staff at Southport Dental Specialists! I'm a real scaredy cat when it comes to going to the dentist, but I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed they made me feel. Follow up call and all...the care given is unmatched by any of the others!! Their prices even worked with my tiny budget. I couldn't believe how inexpensive! If you're needing dental work done and feeling anxious about it, I promise you Southport Dental is the place to go.
Dr. Hemby is the best dentist I've have ever been to and I've been to a lot. He is always sure you are comfortable and cares about whether you may be experiencing pain with any procedure that you are having done. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new dental care individual.
Absolutely Incredible! When I walked into this office, I immediately felt at home. I was treated great by the staff, and Dr. Hemby is very knowledgeable and his chair-side manner is perfect. He explained everything he was going to do in terms that I could even understand. I highly recommend Southport Dental Care!!

Many thanks to Dr. Hemby and his awesome staff. They have always been there for us 24/7 for the past 25 years through baby teeth, wisdom teeth, implants and crowns. We love his teaching and caring atmosphere and being part of this dental family.
Having had a very bad experience with a dentist, my husband and I contemplated returning to our regular dentist eight hours away when we relocated to Brunswick County until we had an emergency and had Dr Hemby recommended. He certainly meets our high standard for a dentist and he was trained at University of North Carolina's school of Dentistry which produces the best dentists in the world. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
