The food service and casual ambiance are always on point here. This place has been a favorite of mine ever since it opened and now that I no longer live in Oakland I miss it. A lot! I go back whenever I am in town.

Food was delicious. Great choices on the menu. My pet peeve is cold food and not getting our food all at once. No problem here. The food was piping hot and they were fast and efficient. The place is small, but our group of 5 was comfortable at their only bigger table. Definitely going back!
Been coming here for years. Hope to keep going for many more. They get their bread from La Farine two doors up. The perfect synthesis of foodie attention to detail meets working class sammich shop unpretentious aesthetic, they are indeed hella Oakland--despite the apparent reference to Boston. They always have the A's on if they're playing.
I loved the asparagus and burrata sandwich. Asparagus was roasted perfectly! We liked the flavor of the meatballs but felt the sandwich needed more marinara sauce. Good service. Cozy. We'll be back!
Excellent customer service. We get the meatballs and polenta to go. Ben and Jose are the best!
