I would never send anyone to this hospice organization!! We told them that my dad needed anxiety pills and comfort meds..he got the comfort meds on the day that he died! So atleast he was comfortable 1 day. We had to purchase his gauze for his legs because they kept saying they didnt have any but said it was ordered. We did have one great nurse but she was from a sister company and they wouldnt let her come regularly. In 9 days his vitals were taken once other than the original visit to sign him up. While our family had a very short experience with Southern Hospice, it was wonderful. Everyone was so nice, and we felt like they really cared about our family. They made an extremely hard time a little easier. I only wish we had the option of utilizing hospice sooner, so that my Dad could have spent more time with his family before he passed away. I would recommend Southern Hospice to anyone .
