This place is AWESOME! I get the jive chicken sammich and the fries are yum! My husband raves about the ribs and mac and cheese. Always busy and very clean place. Highly recommend.
Just awesome. Love the Brunswick stew !! Easy to find. Right on the corner. Get there early for a seat.
Excellent BBQ food. I travel all over the USA . This place is right there with the BBQ food I've had in Texas to Nashville. Can't wait to visit and come back for more great food.

Good food. I've visited SSI for years and have always gone for the seafood restaurants on the island. Several people raved about this place so I tried it. The first time they ran out of ribs early. I thought that was a good sign. My 2nd visit I got thier ribs. I've had good experiences on both visits. They have a great menu. Plenty of a variety of sides and good serving portions.
This is a must go place for a BBQ fan! They have the best pull pork sandwich I have ever had. Just do not park down wind of the smokers. Unless you want to prolong your Southern Soul experience. Will be back soon.

Stopped here after picking up our new smoker from Lang, off their recommendation. Glad we did, we were not disappointed. Was lucky enough to meet the chef, John and the rest of the crew. Everyone there was super friendly. We enjoyed chatting with them. We got to sample brisket, ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends while there and have some Brunswick stew for our dinner tonight! If you're ever in the area, we recommend stopping in for a bite to eat! Chef John knows his bbq!
