I am a little hesitant on what qualifies as the perfect rating after our experience at the Southern Railway. I have hosted a couple events there and decided to have my wedding reception there this past weekend. No doubt the venue is beautiful! The architecture lends to a beautiful backdrop that doesn’t need much more for decorating the space. The location is great too! This venue is absolutely gorgeous! For our wedding this June we wanted a venue that was downtown and that had it's own beauty and character, so we didn't have to come in and completely decorate everything. We needed minimal decor because the historical details of the building are so beautiful. We had 200 guests and rented the entire building to use for both the ceremony and reception, and sat the guests at reception tables outside on the railway platform. Great venue for parties! Super cool ambiance. The train cars are view in to history.
When we started looking for a venue in downtown Knoxville, the station fit everything we were looking for. It was conveniently located with ample parking for our guests. But more than that, it was absolutely gorgeous inside with some incredible views outside of its huge windows. We loved being able to have both our ceremony and reception there and felt like it created a wedding that our guests, and certainly we, will never forget.
