Out of the many electric service companies that I have used, this company has the absolute WORST customer service phone line. It takes almost half an hour to talk to an actual person, and there is no direct way to choose to speak to someone in person so you have to click through a bunch of confusing automated menus before you are lucky enough to get in line for waiting to speak to someone. Not sure that this will matter as there is no other service for me to use for electricity in my area. Edison withdrew my monthly bill TWICE out of my bank account. I called and asked them to reinstate it. I'm told they can only mail a physical check to me which would take anywhere from 3-4 days to get to me. When asked if I could get that ANY sooner I was told no. If my bank account information is available to you to be able to withdraw /from/ my account, why not to just put it /back/?? I cannot verify my account through the mail or by phone because the mailing address they have for me is a location in Utah, and ALL 5 numbers they provide are not my phone number. I have called several times to try to resolve such issues as not receiving statements and not being able to access my account. My issues have not been resolved and I am being billed late payment charges for bills I have not been notified of. This company is a wreck and it's disappointing I have to deal with them.

Purchased solar panels Dec 2016, activated system Jan 2017. Monthly bills throughout 2017 $1.05 to $1.25 as predicted by the solar company. Jan 2018 Received a bill for $1,372.00. SEC states the bill is for usage not paid for in 2017. SEC never once contacted us RE:additional money due. Contacted CA Public Utility Commission and they forward the compliant to SCE. Within hours SCE sent email stating payment was due and delinquent in 5 days. They did offer to let me make payments. SCE sending a technician to check meter, Sola... read more

I have been on hold for over 30 minutes to discuss why my electricity is off. I've called several times and each time Martha, Amanda and other Southern California Edison representatives say it will be connected in 2 hours. Yet, it has been over a week & I still DO NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY! I wish and pray for another electricity company. This is beyond wrong!

I made an online payment for 100.00 + dollars for my monthly payment and evidently hit an incorrect number for my routing or bank account number. as a result, my payment was denied/check returned, and I was assessed a $7 dollar fee for a returned check. no effort was made to contact me of the error so I could correct it. I am now being threatened with termination of services for lack of payment. How's that for customer service.??? I wish I could go solar and off the grid to protest such abysmal lack of courtesy to a customer... read more
